Our First Week of Preschool

Wow!!! I can't believe that the first week of preschool is already over! We have definitely had a very busy week!!

We start our day by reading a daily devotional and then we sing some songs to start our day.  During our circle time, we learn about the calendar and the weather.  We also read stories together.  We have also been practicing our bible verse for the month.  This month our bible verse is:
God saw that it was good.  Genesis 1:25

On Friday mornings, during our circle time, we get to share something we brought for Show and Tell.

Ms. Veronica made play dough for our class.  We enjoyed stamping different letters and shapes into our play dough.

We got a chance to explore the different centers in our classroom.  We enjoyed playing in the Blocks Center and in the Dramatic Play Center.

We also had fun making our very own Mr. Potato Heads.

We enjoyed reading books in the Reading Center.

We have enjoyed singing with Ms. Veronica in Music.  We are working on learning new songs and movements to go with them.

We had a very special visitor come to our class this week - her name is Ally the Alligator (scissors)!!!  Ally is a special alligator because she only eats the lines on paper!!  We practiced our cutting skills on scraps of paper.  We were all so excited to learn to use our special scissors!!!

We then got to use Ally the Alligator to cut out pictures for our Good Manners Book.  We all worked really hard to cut out the pictures and then glue them into our books.

Next week, we will continue talking about Good Manners and we will begin talking about the Seasons. Don't forget that we have Water Day next Friday the 13th!  I will be sending home a reminder mid-week!

Enjoy your weekend!! :)
