A is for Apple

We had a great week learning all about the letter A, the color red, and the number 1.  We did a lot of fun activities using apples. :)

We started making our alphabet book this week.  We will add new letters each week.  This week we glued red apples onto the letter A.

We also made an apple tree with an A as the trunk of the tree.

We also read a story about a little red house, with no doors and no windows, and a star inside.  Can you guess what the little red house was??  It was an apple!!!  We (Ms. Tanya) cut into an apple and discovered the star inside that holds the seeds!

Then we used the cut apples and made apple prints, by painting and stamping with the apples.  We had a lot of fun painting.  Some of us got very messy!!!  :)

We also tasted apples, to find out which one was our favorite.  Then we graphed our results.

We also painted a picture of an apple.

On Friday, we had Show and Tell!  We loved hearing about what everyone brought to share with our class.

We had a lot of fun playing in our centers this week!

We got to have recess in the gym one day too!  Everyone enjoyed riding the tricycles and playing with the other toys!

We had a lot of fun playing outside in the nice fall weather!!  Ms. Veronica brought out her red clown nose too!

We are really enjoying learning new songs in music!  You should see us playing our air guitars!!!!

Next week, we will be learning about the letter B, the number 2, and the color blue.  We will also have a special visit from the fire truck on Wednesday!!!
