Patterson Farm

We had a lot of fun on our field trip to the pumpkin patch at Patterson Farm! 

We got to feed the animals in the barn.

We made a scarecrow, just like they put in the gardens at Patterson Farm!

We took a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch.

We had a lot of fun picking out our pumpkins!

B Week

We had a great week learning about the letter B, the color blue, and the number 2.

We added another page into our alphabet book.  We glued brown beans onto the letter B.

We got to use yellow and red paint to create a fire scene.  We used our hands to mix the colors!!

Then, we added a fire truck to our painted fire scene.

Ms. Veronica came and helped us make blueberry muffins.  

We ate blueberry muffins and bananas for snack!

We have so much fun at Show and Tell on Fridays!

We love seeing our self portraits in the hallway!!

We enjoyed our visit from the fire trucks this week!  You can see all of the pictures here.  The Iredell County Fire Marshals Office also came to talk to us about fire safety.  We all got a pretend  "smoke alarm" with a battery to use in our real smoke alarm at home!

Next week, we will be learning about the letter C, the number 3, and the color yellow.  We will also have picture day on Wednesday, October 9th!! :)

Fire Truck Visit

We have learned about fire safety this week!! Ms. Misty Sherrill from Iredell County Fire Marshals Office came and read us a story called, No Dragons For Tea.  She even brought a dragon that sprayed pretend smoke!!!

We learned about smoke alarms and why they are so important to have in our houses.

We also learned that if our clothes catch on fire, we should STOP, DROP, COVER our face, and ROLL!!!

We also learned to crawl low under smoke!

 

Ms. Misty also gave us our own special fire helmets!!!

The firefighters from Shepherd Volunteer Fire Department came by to show us the fire truck!

We even got to sit in the fire truck, just like the firefighters!

The firefighter showed us the special clothes that he wears when he is fighting fire.  

We had SO much fun learning all about fire safety! :)
